Local Electeds call for Congress to ReImagine Appalachia’s Infrastructure
On September 9, 2021, ReImagine Appalachia hosted a press conference where local elected officials shared their challenges and opportunities for a brighter Appalachia. Over 130 local electeds support climate infrastructure investments for a brighter future for all of us.
It’s clear that Appalachia is at a crossroads. Outdated infrastructure has put an already vulnerable population in greater danger. Climate change will only increase dangerous weather events and flooding. As each season brings new challenges, we need federal action to robust investments in Appalachia’s infrastructure NOW to protect us from current climate crises.
